Overview

Wonderful Citrus is seeking a Claims and Receivables Representative for its Delano, CA location. Ideal candidates will be responsible for the resolution, monitoring, and tracking of spoilage claims and returns submitted by customers. This position will be responsible for the claims process for both domestic and export customers. In this capacity the Claims & Receivables Representative I will review claim proposals for accuracy and compliance with company standards. The Claims & Receivables Representative I will follow up on aging reports and then communicate with customers regarding payment process, information, and/or payment issues. The Claims & Receivables Representative I may be required to assist in the order process and/or other Customer Service Representative duties during the peak of season.

Responsibilities

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this position. The duties described below may not be an all-inclusive list and other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Investigation, resolution and collection of invoices appearing on aging reports.
  • Responsible for the preparation and review of incoming and outgoing correspondence in regards to claims and collections to include audit requests received from customers.
  • Conduct necessary research for credit holds as well as research for A/R adjustments and apply adjustments as necessary.
  • Run aging report weekly and make necessary collection calls on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for the entry of correct and accurate adjustment of amounts due from the customer.
  • Expected to make recommendations and implement processes to strategically improve claims and collections recovery.
  • Expected to work with Sales and Customer Service personnel to expedite the resolution of open claims and collections.
  • Responsible for basic order entry as required during peak times or as volumes require.
  • Assist Sales Associates and Sales Managers by following up on all short pays, which includes the potential for conducting research.
  • Responsible for accurately invoicing customers through electronic databases such as iTrade and Foodlink.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Sales, Marketing or equivalent course of study preferred.
  • 2 years of entry level experience preferably within the produce industry.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and writing skills are a must.
  • General knowledge of project management
