Wonderful Citrus is seeking a Facilities Roll Up Door Technician for its Delano, CA location. Individual will perform preventative/predictive maintenance, repairs and improvements on Commercial/Industrial Overhead Doors, Dock Doors & Dock Leveling Systems in the facility while keeping a high regard for employee safety, food quality and machine efficiency.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensures self and coworkers are compliant with all safety rules and regulations (LOTO, fall protection, hot work, etc.)
  • Perform uptime and downtime inspections, lubrications, and preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and perform corrective work for all mechanical and electrical systems, install various electrical components (motor, photo eyes, light curtain, loop detector on various types sectional and rapid rolling doors in the facility in an efficient, precise and reliable manner
  • Research system and component specifications using equipment manuals, schematics, parts breakdowns, online information, and vendor communication
  • Basic knowledge of cutting, welding, and various other fabrication equipment to cut, form, and/or join materials
  • Collaborates with different levels of employees in various departments of the facility through face-to-face, telephone, email and radio communications
  • Must be able to manage outside vendors and contractors as appropriate
  • Creates/modifies work orders in Computerized Maintenance Management System, and documents details of work performed
  • Identify and execute improvements on equipment, documentation, work systems, and processes
  • Escalate technical, procedural, and personnel related issues to direct lead or supervisor as necessary
  • Work with moral integrity on a consistent basis

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required; Technical degree and three years or more of related experience and/or training in related field is preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).  
  • Effective English communication is a must, bilingual is preferred.
  • To successfully support the business needs, the employee will be expected to work overtime, weekends and rotating/varying shifts, as well as be available for emergency call-out as needed.
