Wonderful Citrus is seeking a Logistics Inventory Systems Supervisor for its Delano, CA facility. The Logistics Inventory Systems Supervisor will be responsible for all day to day and long term finished goods inventory, as well as raw fruit and WIP bin inventory systems. This role will directly supervise 4 or more hourly Inventory Analysts. The Logistics Inventory Systems Supervisor will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and any applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordination of interdepartmental inventory information flows, training and inventory process management for partners, maintenance of finished goods inventory and storage policies, knowledge and awareness of raw fruit inventory, maintenance of storage policies in Degreening and WIP rooms, training and monitoring employees for consistent inventory practice across the organization; planning, assigning, and directing work; managing, improving, and appraising performance; and managing a clear communication line between departments.

  • Ensure monitoring of and adherence to strict FIFO and WMS inventory functionality across facility and satellite facilities.
  • Administrative responsibilities (inventory reporting, labor management, etc).
  • Daily/weekly/monthly data collection and analysis.
  • Develop capability of the hourly work force with specific attention to creation and maintenance of applicable skill blocks.
  • Manage day-to-day WMS inventory systems, processes, and procedures to ensure achievement of key business results.
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of existing work processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and accuracy.
  • Report daily inventory and FIFO position, exceptions, and outages; determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate interdepartmentally to safeguard FIFO movement of goods while maximizing efficiencies and delivering high-level customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain standard work procedures.
  • Recognize and respond to trends; troubleshoot opportunities and communicate solutions.
  • Supervise and analyze employee performance; train and evaluate employees.
  • Provide strong leadership and consistent feedback to all subordinates.
  • Coordinate inventory movement and storage across facilities, including external storage, as necessary.
  • Manage inventory, storage policies, and adherence to applicable storage rules across satellite facilities.
  • Evaluate, implement, and sustain WMS inventory system enhancements and upgrades across home and satellite facilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise hourly inventory analysts. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving conflicts.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and analyze non-value added (waste) activities.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Lean CI plans to create continuous flow and reduce waste.
  • Work across department boundaries to improve the overall production process.
  • Sustain 5S.
  • Manage results through visual factory.
  • Build CI knowledge in self and others via implementation and coaching.
  • Communicate business direction and results. Advocate continuous improvement processes through word and action.
  • Provide challenges and support team members to continuously improve results.
  • Utilize Plan-Do-Check-Act, root cause analysis, and process standardization to systemically solve problems.


  • BA/BS required.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in produce industry agriculture environment required or food processing and/or production management desired.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Excellent management skills including supervision, leadership, communication, and planning necessary.
