Wonderful Citrus is a privately-held, vertically-integrated citrus business that is experiencing extraordinary growth.  We have doubled the size of our business in the last three years and achieved year-over-year double-digit revenue growth in last four years.  And we are just getting started!

This new growth required significant new talent hiring to meet the demands of the business.   Our employee population has reached a record high of 60% growth over last four years.  With all this new talent, the demand for employee development has accelerated.  To meet this demand, an inaugural Leadership & Organizational Development unit was formed two years ago and a brand new stand-alone training facility (holds 80 ppl) was recently built.  And now…the team is expanding. 

We are seeking a Learning & Development Manager to join a small, nimble and mighty team to help us build and scale learning and development programs across the company.  To organize and implement structured leadership programs, targeted development efforts with teams and individuals and manage the day-to-day operations of our Learning Center facility.

Responsibilities

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate leadership and organizational learning programs, delivered to a range of professional levels and functions. (50%)
  • Provide consultative individual and team-level leadership development support, including individual coaching, team-building, and assessment coordination. (15%)
  • Participate in program design, including needs analysis, curriculum development, materials production, coordination, assessment, and record management. (10%)
  • Manage the Learning Center operations, including event scheduling, setup, and minor R&M projects. Participate in capital planning process as necessary. (25%)

KEY ATTRIBUTES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • COMMUNICATION. This role will build relationships through articulate, clear, and concise communication across a variety of levels and functions. Professional presence in both face-to-face and written communication is foundational to this role.
  • ORGANIZATION. A strong attention to detail, and an ability to manage multiple projects without close supervision, will ensure success in the logistical and coordination responsibilities of this role. We reach an internal client base spread across the CA Central Valley and south Texas, working with multiple groups that have unique business cycles.
  • CHARISMA. This role requires a person who can connect with others by being authentic, compassionate, and positive. Inspiring people in the leadership space requires that you are both sensitive to people’s needs and willing to be honest with them.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in training facilitation (in-person and online), preferably in leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and execute organization-wide training programs
  • Experience delivering coaching and training solutions to the supervisor through director level
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Certification in leadership development tools like DISC, MBTI, Situational Leadership, GROW, etc. desired

SKILLS & PROFICIENCIES

  • Highly proficient in MS Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools
  • Experience with LMS Administration (Cornerstone preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, within California and Texas
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, or on weekends (not all at once!)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and regularly climb stairs.
